ok call me a newb if this sounds stupid but I got to thinking about curing as a result of this thread. I cant help but wonder if the same vacuum setup would help with the oil curing process occasionally used for stummels. Just put in your oils in place of minwax?

yeah just send me a pm. I check back here almost daily for the latest tips so I should be here when opportunity arises. Well untill snow season hits again that is, after that Ill be in the snowboarders forum lookin for tips on how to keep a pipe lit while taking a powder run. :D

Anyone in Utah?

Im wondering if there are any makers in here from Utah. Im a bit off from making my own first pipe, but would like to meet people in the area who might be able to show me the ropes as I go. Just looking to learn what I can from others before I am forced to learn from my own mistakes lol.

Just make sure the wood you're using is dried properly. Green or wet wood can taste nasty and crack easy. Im sure these guys can explain the many other things wrong with it better than I can. Im more of a pipe smoker than a maker myself. But hey we all gotta start somwhere right? Also if you wanna t...
