Rubio Monocoat

Anyone out there tried anything in the Rubio Monocoat line yet?
Apparently originated as a wood floor finish. Appears to be a linseed oil product that can be used with or without an accelerator.
Tons of colors. Can be had in small sample size bottles.

Re: Boring Bar for Making Tobacco Chambers

FYI if Kurt is using HSS then he doesn't need to worry about the heat, you cannot draw the temper of HSS under normal circumstances. True Sheffield steel, for sure. Does that apply to Chineseium, though? Chineseium! Good one! I also like "Kung Flu". Gotta make Xi's arse pucker some more.

Blasphemy!! A lathe is a lathe! You are forever tainted! Turn in your magnifier, now!.
It takes a lathe to make a lathe. So how did someone make the first one? Chicken or the egg?

As I recall, the earth wobbled on its axis for a couple of day after George caved and finally got a lathe

Re: Chamber from toolpost?

When watching this video, take note of the fact that his chamber tool is probably sharp enough to shave with. That makes a HUGE difference in the quality of the chamber finish and greatly reduces the effort to use it. I'll also throw this out to Kurt: would a spoon bit achieve the desired result as ...

How about Premal posts a Master Blueprint and everyone takes their best swing at nailing it.

I guarantee more people would learn more stuff in less time than doing it any other way.
Good idea!

Re: PITH 2020!

I think it might be a good idea to see the composition of the participants before selecting a theme. If there are more newbies a classic theme seems like a good way to go ie billiard, bulldog, apple. If there are enough pros/semi pros we might want to pick something more interesting. Anyone remembe...
