Re: pipe stamps
Yes, I know this is an old thread but I felt it important to offer another perspective... Not to be adversarial or create further controversy, but Thomas Cristiano, Kaywoodie and Paul Bonaquisti all heat their stamps. I cannot remember now if Randy Wiley heats his or not. Anyhow, my apprenticeship c...

Re: visiting a pipemakers shop...how to approach?
Sorry for the re-derailment of the topic, but I was intrigued by the traditional archery discussion on page one. I learned to shoot on a long bow at the age of 8 and have been a traditional archer all my life. My business partner at one time was one of the top arrowsmiths in the nation and made all ...

Brad Pohlmann Pencil Shank Poker
I'm helping a friend liquidate a portion of his pipe collection. This is a pipe he had custom made for him by Pohlmann based upon an old corn cob poker. I did not intend for the bowl shape to be concentric, but I appreciate your criticism nonetheless.
I'll post a war club in a few days.

Tsalagi Tapered Dublin
I don't post much...but thought I'd share a pipe I finished this morning. This is based on a Castello shape I saw in an older P&T Magazine. The shank extension is buckeye.
