Truly a beautiful pipe, Sas. Both the Birdseye and straight grain are crazy. Very nice work!

That is definitely a beauty of a straight grain.
The briar sounds very interesting! I think I definitely would've tried it if not for the crazy shipping time and time without contact from the seller lol.

Hey, Peter. Good to meet you and welcome!
As Sas said, you are starting with a good bit of knowledge and that's a huge plus.
When starting, I had some prior shop knowledge but not very much, only basic around the house handy stuff lol.
Hope to see some of your work, friend!

Re: Yazid bouchemat briar
Linearone, Almost everything I've read on this dealer has been very sketchy. Why would you want to purchase briar from somewhere that might take months to get to you or months to even respond. You can order directly from Mimmo or Vermont Freehand or Rawkrafted, to each his own I guess :p

That is a very nice billiard! So elegant. I think I'll try to capture this on my next billiard attempt.

Hey, Sickle. I'm not a big fan of that rounded rim, but if it a customer request then I'd say you did a great job on it. I also think that you did a good job on the finishing. It is very rich in color and depth. I agree with Sas, the top of the tobacco chamber looks a little bit too wide, I think if...

Re: Pipe #4 – Bent Brandy
Andrew, first of all, I think this is a real nice looking pipe. I don't think I'd have any other critiques than what you have already self-critiqued, I think you hit the nail on the head with your review. You seem to know where your improvements can be made. I agree with everything that George menti...

Caskwith, Thank you. That is what I was thinking, just was hoping there was lol! SeaMonster and LatakiaLover, I'll make sure to start making use of needle files when on this step. The ones I have are not very good, I will check out your recommended site! Thanks. Doc, yes it's very easy to get those ...

Re: 2nd attempt at an egg
Hey, Shikano. I hope you are well, my friend. In my opinion, it's a big improvement in the lines of the shank and stem. I think the bowl might look a little more elegant if it didn't have so much of a belly on the front, that's just personal preference though. I'm not sure if what I am seeing is acc...

Re: Well Here Goes Nothing - My First Egg Attempt
Hey, Shikano. First off, I think the bowl shape is pretty good, I like the cant that you have put on it. The main couple things that stand out to me are the lines of the shank/stem. They seem to dip in and out when looking at the pipe from above. The stem also seems wavy. Aside from those waves, I t...

Nice to have you here, Pierce.
I'm in Texas as well, and I am also a computer tech for an internet company, and got into making pipes for pretty much the same reason.
Welcome, friend. I hope to see some pipes that you craft!
This is the best place for it.
