Re: Use delrin even if you can turn the tenon on the rod sto

I'm really liking the consistency of using delrin at this point even though i have the tooling for the integral tenons. Although I learned my lesson quickly on a saddle bit that I didn't account for the delrin rod in. A quick tap/die with the mortise and tenon before gluing is just as quick as fili...

French wheels from Trent

Just a shout out and recommendation for Trents french wheels. Trent made me a couple nice 4" wheels and I am very happy with them. The price was fair and he does good work. I'm in the queue for a upgrade on my 5" jaws and really looking forward to it. I'm not associated other than a satisf...

Re: Scottie Piersel’s interview, P&T magazine

I tried this in the past week after Doc mentioned it to me and it saved a pipe I nearly tossed out of frustration. After taking a little time away from it, I came back and let the block tell me what it wanted to be rather than forcing my will on it. I don’t mean that to sound weird or mystical.. but...

Pair of 4" JAlan French Sanding Wheels w/paper

This is a Pair of 4" J.Alan French Sanding Wheels and 9 sheets of paper - some 120 and 220 grit. I'll also include a Beal arbor adapter that didn't make it in the picture if you need it. I had a custom set made and so these need a home. $125 for the pair of wheels, Beal arbor and sanding discs...

Why do your artisan arrows not come with amulets?

Turning on metal lathe?

So my new PM1030V arrived this week and I have been previously doing all my wood turning in a smaller Jet wood lathe and stems work on a small metal lathe. Do those of you with a metal lathe turn wood on it too? I know that I can and see myself keeping the little jet around as a buffing station for ...

Very good thanks for the help!

Where can I find more information on the 2018 contest? Googling around I seem to just find info for last year.

Will this motor work for french wheel?

I'm currently running my french wheel on a 1/2hp buffer motor at 3450rpm and have been watching for a couple 1725 rpm motors. Will this one with 1/4hp do the trick? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnatek-C152-Electric-Motor-NEW-1725-RPM-115-230-Volt-1-4-HP-Made-in-the-USA/323105830916?hash=item4b3a9bb804...
