Re: #8 please help me get closer to selling

It appears to be saleable but can you answer these questions in the affirmative: 1. Are you confident the finish is set properly and stable, and will not rub off on a the smoker's hands? 2. Are all of the materials and connections stable? 3. Do you plan on sanding the chamber clean or sand and use ...

Re: #8 please help me get closer to selling

alright thanks a lot! so the bowl shape and everything is right? I was a little worried about this one because I don't have a 4 jaw chuck yet so I just hand shaped this one so it was hard to get the lines just right and to get a perfect circle. Also, about the comment on the stem, The stem should be...

#8 please help me get closer to selling

Just finished this one up lastnight its my 8th pipe. I was really focusing on improving my stem work on this one, trying to get a nice crisp line behind the button. I've already smoked this one (couldn't resist) so there may be some tooth marks on the stem. I also worked on this one kind of sporadic...

A good start. This shape has a lot going on. I think you may benefit from making a more simple shape. Not necessarily a classic, but just simpler lines so you can focus on dialing in the smaller details. Post Posted: Wed Aug 26, 2015 4:16 am Thanks. I'll be posting one soon that I just finished tha...

Re: # 7 what can improve on

That's the best seventh pipe posted in a while. Good job. 8) Looks like the blade portion of the stem doesn't taper much (if at all) and is quite thick. Slimmer and sleeker would both look better and be more comfortable. The slot itself is a bit rough & inconsistently shaped, and left unpolishe...

Re: # 7 what can improve on
