Re: What is the purpose of PMF?
So much excellent stuff has already been said that it almost seems pointless to respond. But I will anyway. :P A quick list of websites worth studying: http://www.smokingpipes.com http://www.qualitybriar.com http://www.scandpipes.com http://www.alpascia.com http://www.bisgaardpipes.com http://www.p...

He is a great example of a true pipeman. I have had the pleasure of exchanging emails and I can say he has a real passion for our hobby.
He even tolerates sas. That's saying a lot

Sorry for the delayed response. The gun and ammo business has been hell.
The app is paper 53.
I have to wear gloves as it doesn't recognize the hand as opposed to the stylus but that is my only complaint. I think it was worth the money.

Civil war POW's at Andersonville carved pipes. All they had was knives, time and starvation.
I don't remember seeing one with a stem though, only stummles.

Welcome miller,
It is customary to distribute a bowl of tobacco to everyone who responds but since Red got a little agressive early we may let it slide.

Bravo to you sir.
This forum was meant to be a place to improve but rarely have I seen resubmission. Most disappear and I'm left to wonder if they blew off a critique or if they improved the pipe.
Good "sticktoitness". Aren't you guys under 16 inches of snow anyway : )

Hey Jon
The air hole really is that high and it has a silver colored ring around the shank which is why I thought about drilling out the tenon and extending it with some derlin rod.

Hello gents, Just got a 2013 Peterson Pipe as a gift from a dealer and although I'm happy with having a new pipe I'm running into some issues. I get a gurgle regardless of tobacco about mid bowl and I can't get a pipe cleaner to pass through to the bowl. http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y421/kevi...

Kim,
Funny how I found them. I noticed a Pipeman of The Year from the British Pipesmokers Council and I wondered what we had in America as such a society and found them.
I joined and hope it has matured some.

So I'm hoping to do some editing on Pipedia to grow that jewel of knowledge and during my research I stumbled upon the North American Society of Pipe Collectors. How did this southern boy smoke for half a decade not know these guys even existed? I make my living in the firearms and ammunition busine...

Michail,
What pipes in your collection do you reference for an accepted "traditional English" pipe shapes?
And has the Euro economic situation effected your consumer demand?

Re: lookin for billiard critique
This is the reason I emailed Scott Thile recently to discuss the advantage of a pipe guild as it seems there is a lack of written standards when it comes to basic form. But it seems the massive work Scott has put into pipedia it would be better to post the accepted standards for each basic shape the...
