Re: Jaws For Holding Briar in Your Chuck!

Steve does great work, a real service for small-timers. Pins would be good, and the mods Steve mentions in his post would be very good also, but the jaws are first-rate. Steve, I'll be in touch soon- I know I left you hanging, but things are better now.

Re: question about a comoy stem repair

Finster, I don't think a removable "condensation tube" is what he was referring to. Kamkiel --- you are talking about a pressed/glued reinforcing tube that's PART of the stem, yes? If so, don't worry, reproducing it isn't necessary for a repair. If not, please describe in greater detail o...

I have a few old Hilsons that had such tubes in them, and I found that they created moisture p...

Re: PITH 2015

Pipe and review both received, many thanks Seamonster and notow1. I have offered a brief review to Seamonster and will give a more complete critique when I've gotten a few more smokes in his pipe, but he did a great job. All of the offerings look really nice, talented pipemakers here. Sorry I can't ...

Re: The current state of this forum

I can only speak for myself as a new member, but I can honestly say that I never had an interest in joining a forum of any kind until I stumbled upon PMF back in March. Hope it keeps going strong.

Re: One at a time or multi task

Workflow, pacing, how many, how much have been some of my major concerns. I don't get a lot of shop time and when I do I have at times been almost paralyzed creatively, not quite knowing where to start. I haven't figured out yet which works best, but I do know when I focus on one pipe it took me alm...
