Yup, tearout it is, I made my tool as sharp as I could on my watergrinder (like a tormek but not the real thing) and honed it as best I could on the leather honing wheel, but I see people on here talk about being able to shave the hairs on their arms at any time with the cutting tools, but my tool ...

Well don't smoke it as usual? As a broken in pipe? So I would smoke slower then one would with a pipe that is broken in. I've been reading up on it and I haven't gotten or understood how to smoke it without burning up compared to normal smoking. But I think i got it now burn slower then norm just go...

Iam trin to take a photo keeps sayin file size to big. Can't figure out how to make it smaller. When downloading from a site. I know how to when sending from my camera. Hi guys. Not well known here my second post. I've started my cherry wood pipe. My questions are I hand drilled my chamber, the bottom of the hole is rough. I used a 3/4 spade bit. So far I have been using my spoke shave the most my rifflers for detail. My drawknife was useless but my scorp was usefull where the sole of my spokeshave would jam me up. The scorp isn't a heavy bent one. The stem I'll use my lathe then hand tools. My lathes are really the only power tool I use. I ...

I like your two tone blowfish & craggy lovart can't Rember how to spell that but none the less very nice. I hope to one day come close to making pipes like those. Once I get a good feel for pipes I'd like to do some carving on the pipes

Well I got cherry goin to be the pipe, so I shouldn't use cherry for the stem? I got walnut oak o I think I might have a olive pen blank or are pen blanks to small

I can tenon in a stem. I have wood lathe metal lathes hands saw planes spoke shaves and draw knives that kind of stuff chisels. I prefer using antique tools I think iam might try making a wooden stem. I've cut joinery before. And no museum quality pipe it's a pipe just for me to smoke. I believe I p...
