Re: The current state of this forum
George; when I click the links you posted for stem work, I get the message that the videos do not exist. Do these links work for anyone else?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm another late-comer to the Kansas City registration. Is there anyone else who might split a table? Thanks. Bill.

Re: First pipe progress. I have no idea what I'm doing!
Chris, Good job so far. Take your time on the drilling. Don't know if you have a lathe, but if you do... Go to the tools section of the Forum and scroll down until you see a post for Jeff Gracik's spoon bits. in that thread there are some videos Jeff did showing (in addition to the use of his toolin...

Re: Really Good Sale at Zoro Tools, Today Only
Hey, Ryan - what cabinet did you order? Are you happy with the quality and leak resistance, and would you get the same model if you were to do it over? Thanks. Bill.
Re: Mr Chheda
Sorry I missed you too, Joe. I'll catch you next time and introduce myself, though.
Re: Mr Chheda
I couldn't agree more! It was great to see everyone again that I met at the KC show, and I'm sure I met that many more of you at this one. I've been pretty much a hermit since I retired last November, and it did me a lot of good to mingle with such a great bunch of people - not to mention what I lea...

Re: Share a table in Columbus?
Todd - hope you found a partner to share a table with. I too am in need....can't believe they're already sold out! If anyone has room for one more, please let me know. Of course, I would expect and want you to give priority to Todd's request.

Re: Emco Lathe for Sale
Yes, it is a really nice machine. I don't use it much, though, so I just listed it for sale on the local Dallas/Ft. Worth Craigslist. I may kick myself later, but right now I'm completely out of space, and I still need to get a blasting setup. Oh well...

Re: Emco Lathe for Sale
I agree, Nate. I've had two of them, and also have an FB2 mill. My latest lathe is a 10" Wabeco (made by Prazi). It's very similar to a larger Emco, but has a variable speed motor - plenty of weight and torque.

Re: Emco Lathe for Sale
Oops - he just took the price up to $770. Maybe he read my post here..... Still not a bad deal, but maybe no longer a "steal" considering you'ld need to get some tooling.

Emco Lathe for Sale
Just wanted to give you folks a heads-up....there's an Emco Compact 8 lathe for sale on Ebay right now for a "buy it now" price of $550. I have one of these (without the cabinet) that I would not sell for less than $1,500. I use it for stem work primarily, but it's big enough to turn stumm...

LL - my real name is Bill Walther.
Not sure how I became "Red", but it started back in the early '90s. I dropped out for a while and when I came back, I had to rejoin - for some reason I kept the same moniker. At any rate, I'm all grey now
