Re: Things I do(mainly knives, pic heavy!)
great knives man!
you are talented.
if your not selling pipes would you sell knives (if you said you not selling them i must have missed it)
i love that knife for yourself with the buffalo and the horn handle.
how much for a similar knife, say about 5 inches blade folded???
love to get one of those.

Re: why boxwood???
Holly is a little more difficult to work with. Although you can't really see it, it has a loose grain structure and is pretty soft and porous. I use a lot of super glue on it. Rad[/quote] rad, took it out the box i use to carry it from the store to my house along with the rest of the wood i bought. ...

Re: Brass Tubes For Tenons
hey there and welcome, from a newbie to newbie. i think that 7mm is a little large of an airway for the north american market, since most people dont put filters in. and as andrew said brass is soft and could possibly bend more than stainless. there is no health problem, just personal choice on whet...

Re: why boxwood???

Re: why boxwood???
sorry rad, no insult was intended or am i in anyway putting down pipes with boxwood accents, i just thought it seemed odd that such a plain jane accent was used on such pipes with stricking grain, but the reasons make sense, not to mention the accent grain may contrast with that off the briar. i thi...

why boxwood???

Re: 2 new ones
I think a couple rings are in order on the first one. Seems like the stem is a bit short, and rings would help lengthen it a bit. Also the bowl is a little chunky. The shank seems to widen out as it heads toward the stem, It would look better if it were the same width all the way down. I like the b...
Re: #1305
hey charl,
thats a beautiful stain and you finished the block up nice. the button looks good. the only thing id like to add is i think the proportions are off. it looks to thick through the shank and at a weird bend. its like a fat zulu. anyway stem works looks good.
nice pipe!

Re: C0413 - Rusticated Freehand
hey bruno, im new to the forum but stumbled upon your pipe. looks good! im not a fan of the little pit on the rim but hey briar is a mysterious creature. and i think the rustication to smooth transition on the shank needs to be a little cleaner. i like it though, definitly my style. FWIW cheers evan

Re: Japanese Ebonite Part Duex
i recieved some a couple weeks ago. 6 meters and it looks great. i got the unpolished stuff but like previously stated it is tad soft. it shines up nice though. you cant beat the price. only issue is that they offer no cumberland or colour swirls.

Re: Couple of new ones - and my first F grade pipe!
i actually dig the F grade pipe alot and it seems that it would be so organic that it looks purposeful. its like a beautiful natural rustication. im sure not alot of collector would like it so i definitly wouldnot try and sell it. but FWIW i like it good job on that rhodesian and dublin. im not a fa...
