Being shown by a Pipemaker is a fast trac. So much has to be worn into muscle, nerve, brain memory. go to a pipe show and take some of your pipes!!!

I use a belt sander and a lot of files and of course my dremmel tool for starting the slots and sometimes for shapping...

I bought a lot of sandpaper from industrial supply, but I would tell you not to buy too much as u might find as I did some better products come along and u might find it better for your needs! Abranet comes to mind!!!

Keep that one and make another. I like the pipe , but saw the same as George. Sometimes if you go back down in grit or rebuff with the red, then re color seal with shellac and go up to final polish,it will even out.

I use cloth also with red compound, also pipe cleaners in diff sizes. Works !!!

I use wood balls size of a golf ball and larger. Start at 100 and work up. Keep it simple!!

I use a variable speed motor and get my wheels from J.H. Lowe, Tim West... # wheels is all you need...
